This mini wall calendar features 12 black-and-white illustrations of the much-loved characters from the comic strip that began in 1947 in the children’s section of the Finnish newspaper Ny Tid. In 1954, London’s biggest evening newspaper, the Evening News, began to publish the Moomin comics too. In this format alone, the Moomins would reach up to 20 million readers in 40 countries around the world. 2025 also marks the 80-year anniversary since the first Moomin story was published. Informative text accompanies each work and the datepad features previous and next month’s views.
